Where has the time gone........

I can't believe it's been 2 weeks since I last posted.....Well the carpet is down!!! And it looks great, love the feel of it under my feet. I'm so not happy with the installers who did it, I'm all for senior citizens working, but give me a break. This guy had to be 75 years old and very grumpy, acted like he so did not want to be there on a Saturday (last Saturday). His buddy was about 40 and wasn't to bad. Well they came at 8;30 and left at 1:30. Evening rolls around and were going up to bed, and the darn laundry room door will not close. They put the carpet to far into the laundry room!! So last Monday I call and CarpetLand dumps me around to a couple of people on the phone and finally some chick tells me they will contact the installer and then get back to me, OK. Wednesday comes around and of course no one has contacted me, so I call again, once again I get the run-around. Thursday evening, I had had enough, so I call the salesman who sold us the carpet. He tells me he will call the installer himself Friday, about 12:00 Friday, he calls and tells me they will be here on Monday. I swear, I have been a customer of theirs since 1986, and I have bought a lot of carpet through the years. Customer service has really gone in the toilet if you ask me......

Had open house Friday night at school from 5:00-6:00. It was nice meeting all the new teachers. Poor Hayden started crying when we got out of the van, I think he thought "oh no I have to go to school and that means I will have to "work" at school", because he spends most of his time home watching movies. He was fine by the time we got to his classroom and even did very well visiting his brothers and sisters rooms. Madison and my grandson Spencer are both starting kindergarten, in different classrooms of course. They are going to the am class and will get out at 11:00 each morning. I have offered to watch Spencer to save the kids some $$$ on daycare. Took the kids last night to get new shoes for school, I love this time of year....

Spent about an hour today, helping Mark install handrails on our stairway down to the family room. We have lived here 12+ years and never had any. And I was afraid his mom would fall.

Mark is going to the Michigan Nascar race tomorrow, so I will have to do the Sunday papers. Which I so hate, they are big. But I know he will have a blast. I just hope it does not rain on them, or the race is cancelled.

Well I have to take the puter in for an up-grade in the video card. I have been trying to edit some home movies and it's just not going to fly without this upgrade. I can put the card in myself, but you need to mess with the BIOS, and I am afraid it will mess it up. Best Buy only charges 40.00 to do it, so I would rather pay them and know it's done right, they said to drop off the tower and give them a couple of hours and then it will be done. I'm also going to get 2 sticks of 1 gig each of ram, but I can put that in myself when I get home.

Well gotta run.......

Jeez...it never ceases to amaze me at the low quality of customer service these days. It does however amaze me when I do get good service...how sad is that??
