12 days till our Wish Trip.......

Can you believe it! The kids are getting so excited. We got our package from Indiana Childrens Wish Fund today. Can I say WOW and how grateful we are. The expense check will more then cover our needs and everything is taken care of.....Thank goodness, because the last few days at school have been hell for Hayden.
I'm not sure whats going on, but he's having a very rough time of it. So I decided to go ahead and put him on the Prozac, very very small dose, but I hope it helps.

The closer the trip gets here, the more nervous Mark is getting, he's the one who worries and I'm the one who gets to calm him down LOL.

I've been trying to get our t-shirts done for the trip, but since I don't get much sleep anyway it's hard to do anything anymore it seems, must be because I'm getting to damn old.

Here are some pictures of the kids at the park.....

Fall Weather is on it's way..........

I so can't wait for the cooler weather to get here. It's been the summer from hell! I am not a "hot weather" person at all LOL. Mark tells me I'm crazy, but I can't stand to sweat! The only good thing about summer is swimming.
We took the pool down last weekend. I think we are going to get a bigger pool next year? The kids are getting bigger now and need more room to swim/play. Also I think I want one that stays up year round. I have owned a 24 foot round one in my past life (before Mark) and loved how easy it was to open/close. We wouldn't be able to have one that big and it would have to be a oval shape, but I think you can get them for under $1,000.00, which is about all we can afford right now.

The genetics clinic called on Friday and Hayden does qualify for the Cleveland Study on the Pten mutation, so I will find out more information on this. He's been having some behavior issues in school, mostly anger and such, not sure why, we haven't changed his meds at all. And we haven't seen this at home, of course we don't make him "work" either LOL.

I have some pictures of the kids from the first day of school, I made a layout for my desktop and will share it with you.....

Got the pictures back from the family reunion and my stupid 35mm camera is adding a red line along the side of each photo. I'm so bummed, I can't afford a new camera right now. I do have a nice digital one, but I still use my 35mm all the time.

The kids are getting excited about our Disney Trip. They called Mark at work the other day and needed some pictures of Hayden for their fundraising ball. So I emailed them about 6 of them. 29 days and counting. We did find out we will be flying ATA on Monday the 8th. Our flight time is 11:05am, so we will need to leave the house about 8:00am to get there in time.

I burned the first dvd of the home movies yesterday, it has the first 2, 30 minute vhs videos on it. This program I'm using called Studio is great, once you learn it. And of course I had to do the whole upgrade grahics card thing and add ram so the program would run like it's supposed to LOL. Not only can you edit out crap, you can add really cool clip transitions and titles. Call me a soccer mom geek LOL.

I need to go and put some more "mud" on the drywall in my room, where Mark fixed the wall after our small flood.

Yes, I'm still alive...........

OMG, what a weird couple of weeks to say the least.......Well I didn't take the computer in like I said I was going to, instead I did it myself.....well everything was great for about 2 days, then my system started going crazy. Come to find out the graphic card was for a system with at least 300 watts of power, mine is 250 watts. So I took the graphic card back and got another brand that was for 250 watts. Well no matter what I did, I couldn't get this dog to run on my pc. I even spent 2 hours on the phone with the support guys. So out it came and back to the store, I'm so glad my local Best Buy is great about returns. I just figured I'm going to have to get a new computer, which I can't afford right now. While talking to the Geek Squad, the young man asked me if I ever considered upgrading the power watts, and of course I said it had crossed my mind, but is it hard to do??? Can my mother-board handle it??? He said it takes about 2 hours and yes you must have "some" knowledge of the inside of your computer. Well I have put in a hard drive, several rom-drives, ram sticks and of course the graphic card or 2 or 3 LOL. So he sold me a 400 watt power source for $89.00, did I mention I had already spent $81.99 for the graphic card and $119.00 a piece for the 2 sticks of ram, of which I returned 1 of them, thinking it didn't matter anyway.....so with the $$$ from the returned stick of ram I bought this new power source. Got home took it out of the box and just about crapped when I saw what it was, it is this box with about 20 cables running from it!!!!! Non are marked as to what they go to, soooooooooo, what I did was this, in my computer, I went one-by-one and unplugged each one and hooked the new source up, took about 30 minutes, not 2 hours and IT WORKED, I was shocked, I thought for sure I would fry my whole system. So I took the 250 watt graphic card back and got the original one I had bought and it seems to work fine. But I still need the 1 gig ram stick I took back, so I will have a total of 2 gigs of ram to make this Studio program run right. It must use a ton of ram to run smooth, because when I try to edit the movies it still is jerky/wonky. So on Thursday, when I get paid, I will have to buy some more ram, can we just say I'm so tired of messing with this crap LOL.....

The kids are doing fine in school. Spencer had a couple rough days, but I think he will be ok. I'm keeping him for Carl and Serena in the afternoons to save the kids $65.00 a week in daycare expenses. Madison had a hard time at first sharing mom with him but she too seems to have excepted the change. Hayden had a new para, she was a mom in my local multiples group, her parents were foster parents for years of special needs kids, so she knows how to handle him.

Poor Mark, he didn't get to see Kurt race at Michigan, it was rained out, and he had to come home, they ran the race on Tuesday and of course Kurt won. So that was $180.00 down the drain.....

Speaking of rain, remember we got the family room and my scrap/sewing/craft/computer room all done.....WELL the damn rain came and boy did it come, we must have gotten an inch in one hour last Saturday, and my room got some water in it. Come to find out the rain came in the west side window well to my room and flooded the new carpet. Mark had to remove my base cabinets and remove the drywall around this area to figure out where the water was coming from. So yesterday he installed some new window well covers so I hope this will take care of the problem.

We took Hayden to the genetics clinic at Indiana University on Friday. The Dr. was very nice, she said she wants Hayden to be a part of a study group that will dig deeper into the flawed gene tracking. She bets he has just the LDD and not Cowdens, I so hope she is right. She said if they test for the Pten mutation it will most likley be normal, and they can't test any farther, but if this group does the testing they have the $$$ to did deeper into Haydens gene makeup. We did get word from the metobolic clinic, his carnetine level is normal, thank god.

Well I'm draining the pool, as I type this, another summer season is about gone, but I sooooo like the fall season, it is my favorite. Will post soon again
Hugs......
